Description
Summary:The research is conducted in two sub-districts which are Cimahi Sub-district and Cibeureum Sub-district, eastern part of Kuningan District. Geographically, the research

area located on 244000 – 249000 mE and 9220000 – 9225500 mS UTM S49 zone. The method used in this research are literature study, field mapping, and laboratory analysis. The research area is located in East Bogor Zone which characterized by hills morphology. It can be shown by morphology of the research area which has hills and valley morphology. River patterns in the research area consist of trellis, parallel, and rectangular patterns. It shows that the research area is controlled by geology structures. The geomorphology units in the research area are divided into four, which are Homocline Valley Unit, Syncline Ridge Unit, Anticline Valley Unit, and Folding Hills Unit. Lithology which are exposed in the research area are aged Late Miocene to Pliocene and

they are equivalent to Pemali Formation, Halang Formation, and Kumbang Formation. Based on the characteristics and ages of all lithologies exposed, the units in the research area are divided into three units, which are Claystone Unit, Breccia Unit, and Sandstone-

Claystone Unit. Deformation occurred during Plio-Pleistocene produces complex geology structures with compressional force trending northeast-southwest. Geology structures that evolved in the research area are reverse fault, slip fault, and syncline and anticline folding. In the research area, there are fault which formed by tear fault mechanism. It is because the different of the force accommodation of two blocks that is faulted.
