Summary:Finite element method is a numerical way commonly used to solve complex problems such as structural analysis, heat transfer, even fluid flow. When this has been widely circulated software to perform finite element analysis are available commercially or free (open source). Unfortunately, to obtain a commercial software is not cheap. Because of the expensive commercial software, we need a free software (open source) with the ability of the user interface as well as commercial software. The software created in Java ™ programming language. The software will be made using elements of the graphical user interface (GUI) to interact with the software's user. The software can perform finite element analysis of structures composed of beamcolumn elements and truss elements. The results obtained from the software that made almost the same as the results of the analysis of commercial software. Thus, it can be said that the software is made sufficiently valid for use in performing structural analysis.
