Description
Summary:Anak Krakatau Volcano is one of the most active volcano in Indonesia. Monitoring was already undertaken by Pusat Vulkanologi dan Mitigasi Bencana Geologi (PVMBG) using GPS and seismometer. GPS observation reveals the deformation pattern occurred in Mount Anak Krakatau so the analysis of volcanic activity of Anak Krakatau Volcano could be arranged. This thesis explain how to detect volcanic activity of Anak Krakatau Volcano through episodic GPS observations data. Volcanic activity is defined by inflation or deflation that is obtained by baseline analysis. Data wes processed using GPS analysis software GAMIT/GLOBK 10.5. PVMBG’s data recorded th volcanic activity increase in September 2011 - December 2011, January 2012, September 2012 (eruption), and March-May 2013. Based on baseline analysis, inflation happened in October 2011 until May 2013 and deflation happened only in October 2013.
