Prepayment Metering System technology that has been used successfully in 40 countries around the world, is currently being implemented and developed in Indonesia. But after running for 4 years since the beginning of 2008, at the end of 2011 only 3.4 million users from 43 million total electric customers in Indonesia, which uses Prepayment Metering System. A relatively low level of use is indicated influenced by several factors. <br />

The purpose of this study is to determine what factors can affect the acceptance of Prepayment Metering System. A total of 186 Prepayment Metering System respondents are dispersed on each sub-district in Bandung were measured in this study. The framework is based on the development of the integration of TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) and TPB (Theory of Planned Behavior) models to identify factors that influence Behavioral Intention Prepayment Metering System usage, those are Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, Social Norm, Moral Norm, Attitude, Perceived Behavioral Control and Subjective Norm. <br />

To examine the correlation between constructs proposed in this research, a Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method was used. The results indicate that Attitude, Perceived Behavioral Control, Perceived Usefulness, and Subjective Norm are the factors that influence the acceptance of Prepayment Metering System, by Attitude is the most influential factor significantly. |
