Summary: | Mesoscale modelling of JMA-NHM that used for heavy rainfall simulation in Jakarta 2007 dynamically has been done by using the kinetic energy spectra. Kinetic energy spectra can show effective resolution as wavelength. Effective resolution of the model simulation during 31 January until 4 February 2007 was examined from model result of 2 km, 4 km, 5 km and 20 km resolution. The result of this research indicate that the effective resolution of the model is 10Δx. Variance of kinetic energy spectra respect to level pressure and diurnal pattern show a little dependence of effective resolution model, then the effective resolution is 10-15Δx. Model with 2 km resolution or less is well used to simulate of heavy rainfall in Jakarta2007. |
