RTK is a differential position determination using carrier-phase measurement which the data or phase correction is transported from the reference station to receiver at the real time. Because of the limitations of RTK regarding based station, Precise Point Positioning (PPP) has been advocated as an alternative to reference station-based RTK. Precise Point Positioning (PPP) is a method of absolute positioning determination using pseudorange and phase measurements in ionospheric-free combination. Furthermore, PPP has been developed to a system called Real-time Precise Point Positioning (RTPPP) which supports user to determine a real-time point without using reference station. Both systems, RTK and RTPPP, are potentially used in the determination of parcel boundary. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> This research will compare CORS RTK method and BPN RTPPP method to determine the boundaries of land. The study case takes place in ITB. The obtained coordinates are validated using Electronic Total Station (ETS). The result obtained from this research is comparison, in terms of the acquisition precision, and effectiveness of time required RTK and RTPPP in the system. The results show that observation using CORS BPN RTK achieves the precision under 5 cm only in the morning, while RTPPP system has relatively stable and high precision in the morning and in the afternoon. However, RTK needs more instruments than RTPPP, such as receiver, CORS, and internet network, thus the RTK is more expensive than RTPPP. <br /> text
