Summary: | Deformation of Java during late of Late Miocene has a great effect for the development of stuctural geology in Cileungsi and surroundings area. It is evidenced by deformation of the whole litology unit which are formed in early of Middle Miocene – early of Late Miocene. The structure of geology in research area are thrust fault and fold (W-E direction) and strike-slip fault (NW-SE and NE-SW direction). That pattern indicate the direction of stress in N-S, which is similar with the direction of Subduction in Java. The research is preceded by the analysis of topography map, which is used to interpretate the litology charateristic, structure pattern, and geomorphic process. The result from that analysis is combined with the field data, so that the distribution of litology and structure indication can be obtained. The analysis of compartment structures is important to do because the plane of major faults are not found in the field. The goal of that analysis is to obtain the kinematic and dynamic characteristic of the structure of geology in the research area. The combination from the analysis of topographic map and field data show that in the research area in early of Middle Miocene- middle of Middle Miocene, the Claystone Unit is formed in middle neritic environment. Then, it continous by the forming of Sandstone Unit in middle of Middle Miocene – late of Middle Miocene, in middle neritic environment. After that, the Limestone Unit is formed in late of Middle Miocene – early of Late Miocene in shallow neritic environment. The continouity of sedimentation and the forming of limestone indicate that the tectonic activity in early of Middle Miocene until early of Late Miocene is stabil. The tectonic activity is begun to active until the whole litology unit formed, which is in the late of Late Miocene. |
