Previously, this area was only studied on a small scale regional reconnaissance survey. The data is collected primarily from fieldwork. Analysis done in this study including petrographic thin section analysis, micropaleontology analysis, and calcimetry. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The study area has hill and valley morphology with exogenic processes such as erosion, weathering, and karstification. Geomorphology in the study area is divided into 2 units, which are Karst Unit and Alluvial Deposit Unit. The geologic history of study area began with the deposition of Packstone Unit equivalent with Wainukendi Formation at Late Oligocene in fore reef depositional environment, then Marl Unit and Marl-Grainstone Intercalation Unit equivalent with Wafordori Formation lies conformably at Early Miocene in open sea shelf and 100-1000m depth depositional environment. The geological structure in the study area which are Left Lateral Fault interpreted from lineation and fracture data, Reverse Fault interpreted from lineation and minor reverse fault, and folding by NE-SW principal stress formed in Late Miocene. The study area undergo uplift and sedimentation processes until now, forming today’s morphology and depositing Alluvial Deposit Unit. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Diagenetic process affects porosity of Wainukendi carbonate formation. Based on field observation and petrographic thin section analysis of 6 samples, the diagenetic processes and products observed are cementation, microbial micritization, dissolution, compaction, dolomitization and dedolomitization. From the study, the diagenetic environment of Wainukendi carbonates are marine phreatic, burial, meteoric phreatic, and meteoric vadose respectively. text |
