The research area is divided into six geomorphological units based on the <br />

BMB classification, these are Cikopeng Fault Structure Denudation Plain Unit, <br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Dermaji Syncline Ridge Unit, Dermaji Syncline Valley Unit, Citunggul Fault Block <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Ridge Unit, Pangkalan Fold Hills Unit, and Dermaji River Flood Plain Unit. <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
The stratigraphy of research area from the oldest consist of: Sandstone- <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Mudstone A Unit of Middle Miocene-Upper Miocene, Breccia Unit of Upper <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Miocene-Lower Pliocene, and Sandstone-Mudstone B Unit of Lower Pliocene. <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Geological structures which is formed have orientations of northwest-southeast, <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
north-south, and northeast-southwest that consist of strike-slip faults, thrust faults, <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
and folds. These Structures are the result of primary stress trending northeastsouthwest. <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Facies associations of Halang Formation in Pangkalan River that shows the <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Submarine Fan environment are Proximal Channel, Distal Levee, Frontal Splay 1, <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Crevasse Splay dan Frontal Splay 2. Whereas Facies Association of Halang <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Formation in Dermaji River that show the Submarine Fan environment consist of <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Distal Levees 1, Frontal Splay, Crevasse Splay, dan Distal Levees 2. Based on the <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
lithology features and association characteristics, both of the vertical succesions <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
show the shift of sub-depositional environment which is probably caused by the <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
change of channel feeder position and sediment supply change from time to time. |
