Summary:The impact of land subsidence phenomenon in Semarang region can be seen directly in daily life, such as building crack, infrastructure damage, and increase in the coverage area of flooding. Based on GPS data survey conducted on 2008-2012, it was discovered that land subsidence in Semarang has a rate of 0-0.22 m/year or 0-22 cm/year. The information about land subsidence in Semarang is considered substantial, but it is not accessible for public or those who needs. Therefore, it is necessary to have a system to meet the needs. This research tries to build a spatial database that will be displayed in a web-based GIS. This application is expected to support in organizing spatial data storage and facilitate the people needs of information related to land subsidence in Semarang. This research consists of spatial database development, web-based GIS application development, and database application development. The anticipated results of this research is a web-based GIS of the land subsidence phenomenon in Semarang region by using software PostgreSQL / PostGIS and GeoServer. Obtained information from this application is still limited. This is due to the availability of data related to land subsidence in Semarang is limited too.
