Summary: | Magnetotelluric method (MT) is a geophysical exploration method to determine the subsurface electrical resistivity. As a result of the galvanic distortion effect on on tensor impedance from magnetotelluric acquisition required a separation or local-regional decomposition, in this case the Bahr decomposition method. Galvanic distortion is represented in a tensor distortion. Determination of regional strike using Bahr decomposition method and plotting induction vector or induction arrow. Application of the Bahr decomposition method yield a calculation results that is regional strike angle, angle of vector component of electric distortion tensor, decomposition of phase impedance and decomposition of apparent resistivity, and all the results will be used for further analysis. The Bahr decomposition method is applied to the MT data from 'Koka' region. |
