The objective of the research are <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> to understand geological setting of the research area. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The research area has hill, valey, and plain topography. Based on <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> morphological characteristics, the research area divided into Folded Hills Unit, <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Plato Unit, and Alluvial Plain Unit. Based on lithological characteristic, the <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> research area divided into four rock units, from the oldest to the youngest, those <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> are Claystone Unit which is equivalent to Halang Formation, Mollusc Claystone <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Unit which is equivalent to Kalibiuk Formation, Breccia Unit which is equivalent <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> to Ciremai Volcanic Product, and Alluvial Deposit Unit <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Geology of the research area, started in the Late Miocene, when Claystone <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Unit was deposited in Upper Bathyal-Outer Neritic environment. In the Early <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Pliocene Mollusc Claystone Unit are deposited, conformably above Claystone <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Unit in the Middle Neritic-Inner Neritic environment. In the Plio-Pleistocene <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> tectonics activity happened, which made the two rock units folded and faulted. In <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> the Quartenary, volcanic activity of Ciremai Volcano happened increasingly, and <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Breccia Unit deposited unconformably above the previous rock units. Recently <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> erosion proccess still running and the Alluvial Deposit is deposited. text
