Summary:Seabed surface data and sub bottom profile data are needed in detection of underwater pipeline engineering for the purpose of comparison of the underwater pipeline position. The objectives of this study are to find out the extent of hydrographic surveyor’s role in detection of underwater pipeline, to get information about seabed surface, sub bottom profile and position of underwater pipeline, and to analyze data generated by multibeam echosounder and sub bottom profiler. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Methodology that used in this undergraduate thesis are literature reviewing which is carried out for the writing of a background, a basic theory and as a reference for problem solving activities in the overall final project, multibeam echosounder’s data collecting and sub bottom profiler’s data collecting, data processing, data analysing, concluding the results and giving recommendation. Seabed surface information are obtained from multibeam echosounder and sub bottom profile information are obtained from sub bottom profiler.The final result of this undergraduate thesis is presenting position information of underwater pipeline using multibeam echosounder and sub bottom profiler. From that information, comparison of the position can be performed. This information should be considered in the detection of underwater pipeline using multibeam echosounder and sub bottom profiler.
