This study was conducted to observing geothermal energy potential in an area by observe surface temperatur anomaly and mineral alteration content as a result of hydrothermal system existence. The objective of this study is to delineate potential aras for hydrothermal system by identifying the temperatur anomaly and alteration zone.. Patuha, West Java area was selected as study area. Multitemporal data of Landsat 7 and Landsat 8 image were used in this study. The surface temperatur map was produce by converting thermal radiance to surface temperature. Obtaining mineral alteration map, a classification method used based on the spectrum of surface manifestation at field study. The outcome of this study is a temperatur map from the temperature anomaly. The anomaly is an early identification the containing of geothermal resources. In addition, the mineral alteration classification map was produced to identify the mineral alteration zone at hydrothermal system based on the spectrum of surface manifestation. Then, the result of classification map being overlayed with constant anomaly temperature location from all of the map surface temperature. The result of this overlay show the location of surface manifestation from this study. text
