Micro CT Skyscan1173 is an imaging device, high energy typed, which uses X-ray radiation source and flat-panel detector. Micro CT Skyscan1173 can be used in any field areas including small animal imaging. In this study, we investigate small animal imaging which has the same density contrast region....

Micro CT Skyscan1173 can be used in any field areas including small animal imaging. In this study, we investigate small animal imaging which has the same density contrast region. This study used cricket as a research's object. Cricked was prepared along with others object liked styrofoam and aluminum plate to form an object configuration. Some parameters were set before acquisition, i.e. voltage 24 kV, current 120 μA, exposure 650 ms, and camera resolutions 2240x2240 pixels. NRecon was used for reconstructing projected image from acquisition. Physical information like Hounsfield Unit and attenuation coefficient were obtained by determining ROI (Region of Interest). There was five known ROI chosen for its physical information such as, cerci (a pair of cercus), a pair of femur, two pairs of palp (maxilary and labial), a pair of antenna base, and thoraric area. Based on the analysis, it is known that the cricket's femur is the homogeneous among the four sections. The right-base antenna has the highest value of standard deviation, while the smallest is on the left labial palp. text
