Summary: | Population density in a region occurs because of the uneven distribution of the population. The population density in each of the different parts of Indonesia raises problems of its own population. Among the problems that arise is a matter of social infrastructure, security and stability, equitable development, and vulnerability to a disaster. The problem of vulnerability to disaster is very important because Indonesia is a country that is highly vulnerable to natural disasters. Given these problems, the information about the distribution and density of population in the region is needed. Such information will be used to determine the presence or absence of symptoms of overpopulation, to determine the centers of economic activity in a region, development planning, rescue actions in case of natural disasters, and so forth. The purpose of the implementation of this research is to build the distribution model of population that has a high resolution that represent the actual state of the population distribution in Indonesia. The method used in this study is simulation or modeling in which the results of this study focused on the population distribution model that can represent the state of the actual population distribution. |
