Some research had been conducted in this area but those weren’t provide enough details and were not covering the whole area. The primary data obtained from field research. Analysis conducted on this study were petrographic analysis, micropaleontology analysis, structural analysis, and constructing of detailed cross sections. Morphologically, the study area has ridge trending northeast-southwest, with undulating hills and isolated hills. The morphological feature is changing to valley to the south and most southern regions characterized by ridge with moderate relief and eastwest trending elongate. This morphological difference is closely related to lithologic constituent and geological structure. River flow pattern in the study area are generally rectangular and trellis. Stratigraphic of study area consists of Melange Complex Unit as the oldest unit in the study area, this unit is characterized by the presence of mixing rock with different environments and age, tectonically mixed. Oceanic crust rock group consisting of ophiolite rocks, deep sea sediments, and continental crust pieces were drawn into a trough and tectonically mixed resulting Melange Complex. This process begins with the subduction between the Indo-Australian Plate (oceanic crust) into the Eurasian Plate (continental crust) to form deep trenches along the Java-Meratus at Late Cretaceous- Paleocene. Clay Breccia Unit deposited unconfomities above it due to the influence of gravity that occur after the uplifted of Complex Melange. Volcanism occurred in the Late Oligocene and continued until the Miocene, this process generating volcanic dust material deposits along with the deposition of mudstone which becomes Tuff Unit. Typical structure at Melange Complex Unit is scaly clay matrix, boudin on the block rocks and shear zones. While the geological structure in the area of research that developed a fault, folds, fracture, and cleavage, due to the compression phase of NNWSSE trending generated during the tectonic evolution of the southeastern part of Sundaland. text
