Summary: | Based on data from PT Jamsostek, in 2011 there were 99.491 cases or an average of 414 cases of occupational accidents occurred per day. One approach that can reduce workplace accidents is a safety climate. Safety climate approach proved to be one of the approaches that can prevent accidents in the future. This research will be carried out to design occupational safety climate measurement based on Cooper„s reciprocal model of safety culture. The design aims to obtain valid and reliable measurement tools that can be suitably used for high-risk industries such as oil and gas industry. Previously, many people who have done research on the design of safety climate measurement as designed by the Nordic working group of work environment specialists. This NOSACQ-50 instrument has been translated into several languages and is used to measure the safety climate. NOSACQ set seven dimensions generally accepted as an indicator of safety climate. NOSACQ itself has not been there for Indonesian language version. The purpose of this research is to do the design of safety climate measurement tools that are valid and reliable, while the other goal of this study was to validate safety climate questionnaire NOSACQ-50 version of the Indonesian language, measurement of safety climate in PT X, Y Production Area based on the dimensions of safety climate NOSACQ models and the proposed model and determine the relationship between dimensions of safety climate NOSACQ models with the proposed model. The number of respondents were 150 people who are production workers of PT X, Y Production Area. PT X is an Indonesian company engaged in the oil and gas industry. The results showed NOSACQ-50 questionnaire Indonesian version and safety climate questionnaire is valid and the proposed use with 44 items reliable. For the measurement of safety climate on PT X, Y Production Area made in the area of production of radar diagram. In addition, there is relationship between the two dimensions of safety climate model. The proposed safety climate questionnaire in the end can be a alternative of valid measurement tool used in addition to NOSACQ-50. |
