Description
Summary:Bali Island is located near subduction zones Indo-Australian Plate and the Eurasian Plate . Subduction occurs resulting in strain and stress are spatially and temporally that cause deformation . To observe the deformation, GPS observation method is used where the points spread across the Bali Island .

The data used is the continuous GPS observation data in 2010-2012 and a periodic GPS observation data in March and September of 2013 . Data processing of GPS observations generate a geosentrik coordinates and then transformed into toposentrik coordinate form. Furthermore, calculations performed with attention shifting movement of the Sunda block . The results of the count is exactly what used to analyze the deformation that occurred on the island of Bali .

Results calculated data show that the major shift in the island ranged from 3.1 mm / year to 22.6 mm / year with a dominant shift vector towards the north-east . Based on the results obtained , it is known that the island is deformed and affected the movement of the Indo - Australian plate . However , this study is only preliminary findings that require further research in order deformation pattern of the island can produce more accurate data .
