Summary: | This study examines two macro-economic factors (inflation and exchange rate) and world coomodities (CPO, Oil, and Soybean) that influence the stock return in agriculture company. Object of this study are agriculture companies that listed in the Indonesia Stock Exchange, with the historical prices for the period of 2005-2009. These companies rely on palm plantation as their main business. A total of 8 stocks were studied, and 3 stocks have been eliminated from this study due to insufficient data available. month divided by the initial stock price. The factors that expected had influence with the stock return are inflation, exchange rate,change in CPO, oil, and soybean prices. The data of inflation was taken by monthly period, data for oil, exchange rate, CPO, and soybean is the difference of average daily-price every month divided by its initial average daily-price. Data were analized by SPSS 14 and Microsoft Excel 2007 program. <br />

Observations were analyzed in 2005-2009 time frame. The result shows in AALI stock, CPO and Exchange rate give significant influence. For SMAR,TBLA, UNSP, and LSIP, only CPO that give significant influence to its stock return. |
