Summary: | Competition in international markets increased along free trade agreement

adopted by the Indonesian government has resulted in an increase of competition

between local products and foreign products. The government has prepared itself

by applying a product standard that is expected to protect the national industry.

Implementation of SNI in Indonesia still faces many obstacles. One of the

constraints which is faced by the industry is in fulfillment of the product against

the standard used. Several factors that can lead to a product is not able to meet a

standard of competency are human resources, raw materials and technology used.

Previous research by Gunawan (2010) and Idayati (2010) designed standard

review model by translating the contribution of technology components on

standard elements. While this study examined the technoware level in the

industry. Technoware is formed of physical facilities used, namely industrial

machinery and equipment to transform resources into products to meet the

requirements of SNI using the QFD method.

Design model implementation of the research objects as a whole showed that 45%

of the production processes had not been able to meet the requirements of SNI.

This was indicated by positive value gap. On the other hand, based on the results

of linkage analysis, could be seen that increasing level of technoware did not

guarantee the reduction of the number of products rejected in both companies. |
