Summary: | In the use of car, tyres are the only media which contact with road surface. Several important aspects in tyres are pattern and thickness of tyres. Using stereo image, object thickness can be obtained. In this research tire thickness was measured by using stereo image and OpenCV library. While creating disparity map, 3D maping was obtained from object. From the disparity map, distance beetween two point at the object can be calculated, then tire thickness of tire pattern can be measured. Result from the measurement show that the error is about 6.0489%. This error mainly caused by choosing the wrong point from the object and camera resolution. |
