Study area is part of Asem- <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Asem Basin which Mesozoikum basement and Cenozoikum sedimentary rock <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Geomorphology of study area categorized as mature stage consist of Wavy <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Hills, Homoclinal Hills, and Homoclinal Valleys. The rivers pattern in study area is <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> parallel pattern which mostly influenced by slope. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Mesozoikum basement that exposed in study area consist of Serpentine Unit <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> and Tuff Unit. Serpentine Unit is part of Ophiolite unit in Meratus Complexs which <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> is ages not older than Early Jurassic and uplifted by collision in Early Cretaceous. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> This unit overlain unconformably by Tuff Unit which is the medial part <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> volcaniclastics deposit of Late Cretaceous Haruyan Formation. Both units overlain <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> unconformably by Kenozoikum sediment that consist of Claystone Unit and Claystone-Sandstone Unit. Claystone Unit is part of Tanjung Formation which ages <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Middle Eocene – Early Oligocene, that deposited in fluvio-deltaic environment and marked by coal-bearing bed. Claystone-Sandtone Unit is part of Berai Formation <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> which ages Middle Oligocene –Late Oligocene, marked by marine influence on lithology that deposited in open marine environment.The structural geology of study area are more influence by compression deformation in Early Miocene. Structure that developed in this area which are dip of bed, Sopang Trust Fault that has north-south (N-S) trend, Dundang Strike Slip Fault and Same Strike Slip Fault that had northwest-southeast (NW-SE) trend and sinistral movement. text
