In this case we need a preventive action to minimize the impact of <br /> <br /> <br /> wildfires, one of them by calculating the value of vulnerability fires in West <br /> <br /> <br /> Kalimantan with the Canadian Forest Fire Weather Index (FWI). <br /> <br /> <br /> This study was performed to calculate the vulnerability of forest fires based on the <br /> <br /> <br /> ease of ignition and the availability of fuel for fires on 1-31 August 2012. FWI <br /> <br /> <br /> input data such as meteorological observation data is obtained from NOAA <br /> <br /> <br /> Global Summary Of the Day (GSOD) dated 1 June to 31 August 2012. The <br /> <br /> <br /> highest level of vulnerability occurs in Ketapang area on August 10, 2013 with a <br /> <br /> <br /> value of 14 that classified extreme by FWI. High degree of vulnerability tend to <br /> <br /> <br /> spread to the western region, central and east of West Kalimantan. <br /> <br /> <br /> The calculation of the forest fires vulnerability value shows the accuracy ratio <br /> <br /> <br /> 0.65, with threat score ratio 0.52.
