Summary: | X-ray system acceptance test is a structural procedure for assuring quality and safety of X-ray system in medical radiology. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the implementation of this acceptance test by analyzing an example of case from radiological facility. In this final project, this acceptance test consists of collimation and X-ray tube & generator test. Collimation test consists of illuminance and difference measurement of size between light localizer and radiation field. X-ray tube and generator test consists of peak voltage accuracy, radiation and voltage reproducibility, radiation linearity, X-ray beam quality and tube leakage. Acceptance test results analyzed in this final project is taken from result of general radiography acceptance test in Province of Riau. <br />

From illuminance test result, there are magnitude aberrations of X-ray system lighting field intensity in the form of inconsistency on all quadrants of the lighting field, and the magnitude of the adequacy of X-ray system lighting intensity is 30,588% lower than the minimum limit. Meanwhile from the field limitation and alignment measurements, the size difference between X-ray system light field and radiation field is still tolerable. From the voltage accuracy test result, obtained that maximum error is 8,66% which is at 40 kVp, and the minimum error is 0,3% which is at 70 kVp. From the reproducibility test result data, CV value obtained for the peak voltage is 0,001239; for the radiation output is 0,0036; and the CL is 0,032. From beam quality test result, the HVL obtained for 40 kVp is 0,000 mmAl; 1,670 mmAl for 50 kVp; 2,008 mmAl for 60 kVp; 2,289 mmAl for 70 kVp; 2,651 for 80 kVp; 2,963 mmAl for 90 kVp; 3,298 mmAl for 100 kVp. From tube leakage test result, obtained that the dose measured at the distance of 1 meter from the radiation source is 0,13 μSv/hour at the front of the tube, 785 μSv/hour at the anode, and 671 μSv at the cathode. |
