The method that we used are direct measurement using pipe U and pipe Y, as well as calculation using pressure variation towards the height of the liquid. The results of the experiments show that the liquid that most easy to drawn, if we see from the height of the liquid that rise in the legs of the pipes, are respectively: sea water, oil SAE 40, cooking oil and kerosene. Further, for the liquid that have density comparable to the density of the aquades, the height difference for the liquid that rise in the pipe legs between the experimental results and the calculation show a small and positive value. In other side, for the liquid that have density much higher that the density of the aquades, the height difference for the liquid that rise in the pipe legs between the experimental results and the calculation show a large and negative value. The results show that besides density, another factor that give influence to the height of the liquid that rise in the pipe legs is viscosity; the bigger viscosity of the liquid means the higher friction force between the liquid and pipe wall. text
