Determine the proposed well has been carried out using trial and error methode base on interpretation of seismic data. Another method that can be used is to perform stochastic optimization based on particle swarm optimization. <br /> <br /> <br /> The methodology in this study is to combine the stochastic software with high resolution 3D seismic data, the calculation process can be completed with very <br /> <br /> <br /> high accuracy. The tool has been applied on a case study to determine the best proposed well locations. These results were compared with analysis conventional. <br /> <br /> <br /> The result obtained show that stochastic-based optimization method can give better result than the convensional method . The show that stochastic optimization method suitable for use in solving determine the best proposed well in shallow marine to avoid the disaster that caused from shallow gas. text
