Description
Summary:Melamin is s a toxic compound that is used in the manufacture of plastic tableware and white glue. However, poly(melamine) can be used to modified carbon paste electrode (CPE) as working electrode in voltammetry. In this research, film of melamine was prepared on the surface of CPE through electropolymerisation. Electropolymerisation was conducted using cyclic voltammetry (CV) technique (20 cycle) at potensial range of 0 V – 1,6 V and scan rate of 100 mV/sfrom solution containing 1 mM melamine and 0.1 M H2SO4. The modified electrode was used to determined ascorbic acid, acetaminophen and uric acid. Linear calibration curve was found at concentration range of 79 µM - 18 mM for ascorbic acid,4 µM - 1,14 mM for acetaminophene, and 10 µM - 2 mM for uric acid. The limit of detection forascorbic acid, acetaminophen, and uric acid, was 47 µM ,1,68 µM and 22 µM, respectively. Results of voltammetric determination of ascorbic acid in real samples are in accordance with those of spectrophotometric methode.
