| Summary: | Dr. Ir. Soekarno, the founding father and also the first president of Indonesia, spent his life in Bandung for about 13 years (1921-1931) as the most prominent leader of Indonesia’s nationalist movement during the Dutch colonial period. Every place in Bandung, which is related to his life, has its own historical stories that directly connected to him. To appreciate his struggle for Indonesia, a map should be produced using cartographic rules. Besides having the advantages to maintain and preserve the historical sites of Dr. Ir Soekarno, map can be used as a media for the promotion of tourism. The method used of designing the tourist map in this research is modeling. The process includes the design of symbol, typography, layout, and infographic. The result of this research is tourism historical trail map of Dr. Ir. Soekarno in Bandung city. |
