Description
Summary:The purposes of this research were to explain relationships between soil parameters and the slide of pile in toll road, to develop a predictive model to predict the occurrence of pile slide by applying soil parameters, and to describe the impact of an occurrence of slide to the costs that have to be allocated for treatment. In analyzing relationship between soil parameters and slide, a correlation analysis was used,

where slide was interpreted by a Safety Factor (SF) value of pile slope. The SF value predictive model was obtained through a multi linear regression analysis on

geotechnical data of Cipularang toll road, where the dependent variable was SF value, whereas the independent variable was parameters of soil cohesion, sliding angle, soil content weight, and maximum pile height. Whether or not a pile had been slid was ascertained by conducting a simulation of SF value by using regression equation model obtained, in which the parameters of Stage-I Cisumdawu toll road soil was substituted for the predictive model. However, to describe the impact of an

occurrence of slide to investment cost, a simulation was conducted by computing the probabilities of occurrence of a slide, in this case being viewed on Stage-I Cisumdawu toll road based to the similar experience on Cipularang toll road. The results of correlation analysis showed that the parameter of soil sliding angle

and cohesion has the most significant influences to SF value, while the parameter of soil content weight and maximum pile height has no significant. The simulation

results of SF value showed that the existing Cisumdawu toll road parameters would produce SF value mean of all piles in secure condition where SF value is more than

the minimum prerequisite of SF value for a pile on toll road. However, there was a probability that the SF value could be less than than a SF value of Cipularang toll

road pile on Batu Datar location, which slide deeply, the percentage of probabilities were lower than three percent. The results of simulation of investment cost by

computing the probability of occurrence of slide based on the similar experience at Cipularang toll road showed that the investment costs required for building stage-I

Cisumdawu toll road could be larger than a normal investment cost without computing the probability of occurrence. The results of study generally deliver a

description that the risks of the geotechnical problems cause in toll road pile to be impact on larger investment loses.
