The unstoppable and continuous charging will decrease the quality even can make a damage to an accumulator. So it needs a monitoring and controlling system for charging-discharging to prevent accumulator's quality decreases. By applying UART serial communication in ATMega 8535 microcontroller’s and an interface application that made from Borland Delphi 7, the monitoring and controlling system could be made. Besides that, it still needs a voltage regulator in wind turbine before the electrics get into an accumulator. The regulator utilized from 1N4728 zener 13 Volt with 19 mA of rating current. The method that the researcher used is deductive method that applying knowledge into design and then tested it. By applying the test, the researcher knew how the wind turbine performance's and the minimum angular velocity to charge 12 Volt accumulator that is about 129 rpm and 11.5 m/s with 2.5 Ampere maximum current that wind turbine could generate. text |
