Currently, the most common ECG, which has some drawbacks, e. g. long preparation time, may exhibit allergies and infections in patients with sensitive skin, and possible accuracy deterioration due to gel evaporating. In this research, we studied dry electrode to be a promising alternative of gel electrode. Copper was selected as the material for the dry electrode, it has good conductivity at an affordable price. The electrode was coated with polyaniline (a conductive polymer). Coating was performed via an electrodeposition technique. Electrodeposition time was varied to obtain dry electrode that can match the performance of available gel electrode. We successfully manufactured dry electrode that closer to the performance of certified gel electrode available in the market. This electrode was produced with electrodeposition time of 20 min using CH3COOH as the dopan. The electrode that comes closely to 0 after correlation between PQRSTU signal the electrode and disposable electrode, criteria required to dry electrode conductivity 7 x 10-4 S/mm, the resistance of 10 Ω, and the capacitive reactance 140Ω, and exceptionally stable (shows consistent value of 256,41 μV for 2 hours). text |
