The following are sorted from the oldest to the youngest, those are: Limestone Unit, Conglomerate Unit, Sandstone Unit, Claystone Unit, and also Alluvial Deposit Unit which is deposited unconformably on all of those rocks as the youngest Unit.<p>Limestone Unit which is equalized to Kuantan Formation is deposited in shallow marine, Conglomerate Unit which is equalized to Brani Formation is deposited in alluvial fan into braided river, Sandstone Unit which is equalized to Sawahtambang Formation is deposited in meandering river into braided river, Claystone Unit which is equalized to Ombilin Formation is deposited in transition area into inner neritic.<p>The geological structures that developed in the area include fault structures that are represented by Takung Thrust Fault, Ombilin Thrust Fault, Sinamar Thrust Fault, Sibolin Strike-slip Fault, Lubuk Sarik Strike-slip Fault, Padang Lawas Strike-slip Fault, Lembaru Syncline, Sawahliat Syncline. |
