Hydroxypropyl Guar is known as the popular polymer gelling agent for fracturing fluid. HPG also work in couple with propping agent to prop open the fracture. <br /> <br /> <br /> The study was analyzed the fluid performance through analytic approximation. In this study, the fluid flows in a fracture geometry model with various gelling agent concentration, proppant concentration and also various operational pump rate. Fluid performance was analyzed based on velocity profile and pressure profile along the fracture geometry model. Also the change in apparent viscosity of flowing fluid was analyzed. <br /> <br /> <br /> Simulation using numerical simulation had done to test the HPG fluid with various proppant concentrations in a hydraulic fracture project. Fluid performance was investigated based on technical and economical aspect. The simulation scenarios are done for 20, 25, 30 and 40 lb/Mgal HPG fluid with various sand proppant concentrations of 2, 4 and 6 ppg. The fluid performance was analyzed at optimum propped half-length which is gives maximum NPV after 1 year. <br /> <br /> <br /> Based on the simulation results, the best scenario is 40 lb/Mgal HPG fluid with 6 ppg proppant concentration. The optimum propped half-length is 207.9 ft and fracture NPV is US$320,097. The used of fluid with higher density and viscosity give the advantage in hydraulic fracture efficiency. It gives the less amount of fluid pumped. The proppant concentration effects the rheology of the fluid used and proportional with the fracture conductivity in the end of hydraulic fracture job. text
