Summary: | Tasikmalaya, located in the Southern West Java Basin. Southern West Java Basin is a basin that known has a prospect of hydrocarbon . Therefore the identification of structure and delineation of hydrocarbon prospects in the region is an important thing to do as a reference for further research on the potential of hydrocarbon . Gravity method expected to identify fault structures and delineate basin boundaries in the Tasikmalaya region. <br />

Gravity data processing in this study is spectral analysis, moving average, the vertical second order derivative method and forward modeling. Structural interpretation and basin delineation performed by using the vertical derivative of order two that are overlaid with residual anomaly. Hereafter devised subsurface modeling with forward modeling method to determine the distribution of density contrast beneath the surface of each layer. Forward modeling is done by using a software Encom modelvision 9. <br />

Results of the microgravity analysis shows South Basin of West Java has the structure of Southeast-Southwest trending affected by major fault on the island of Sumatra. This area has a major fault structure down which controls the formation of small fault-fault in sekitarnya.Area prospect is estimated to be in the middle region of the study area. South West Java basin have bedrock that Ciletuh melange formation at a depth of approximately 2800 meters, and a density of 2.8 g / cc. |
