Description
Summary:Mining operation at PT. Newmont Nusa Tenggara (PT.NNT) is conducted an open-pit mining, which cause to the groundwater flow around the pit.

This research purpose are to investigate the changes of groundwater level at before, operation, and post mining. This research use the Finite Difference Method to simulate the groundwater simulation called Visual Modflow for Waterloo Hydrogeologic Institut. The area that modeled including Sejorong and Tongoloka Watershed, consist of 11.723 grid, each grid size 100 x 100 m, with total area 11.723 hectare.

This simulation conducted in 3 scenario, pre-mining, operation, and post-mining. Pre-mining scenario results 0,98 at calibration regression, Mining Operation results groundwater seepage 30.159 m3/day, and post-mining are allow groundwater seepage to fill the pit in 63,46 years.

Groundwater drawdown at mining operation, around the pit 100 - 500 m with 100 m depth, and 500 m depth in the middle. Post-mining are 40 m depth from pre-mining condition.
