Description
Summary:In accordance to the new regulations on local autonomy and the potentially growing economy of West Java, the Provincial Government are planning to develop new facilities and infrastructures. One of the plan is the development of International Airport of Jawa Barat in Majalengka, with better facilities and higher capacities than the existing airports. One of the most important requirement of such plan is the Feasibility Study. It

consists of many analysis, in which one of them is the Financial Risk Analysis. This paper reports the financial risk analysis of development plan of Jawa Barat International Airport. The result of the study is expected to show whether or not the plan is financially feasible. The scope of the study includes of investments according to demands aspect and supply aspect, as well as financial aspects which involves criteria such as

NPV, BCR, PBP, and IRR, and the risk analysis of investment, which involves IRR according sensitivities land price, passenger demand and cargo demand. According to he results of the analysis, financial feasibility of the Development of International Airport of Jawa Barat is measured, with the IRR value of 12.53%. The most sensitive parameter to the value of IRR is the passanger demand where a 50% decrease of pasanger demand would change the value the IRR by 4.33%. On the other hand, other parameters only change the IRR value by 0.44% due to the land price, meanwhile for a 100% increase in land price and a 100% decrease in cargo demand only gives a 0.437% chage of IRR. Although the feasibility analysis show IRR value of 12.53 %, but the decision to built the International Airport in Jawa Barat will also considering another aspect such as the geopolitics interests.
