Summary: | Climate change could have an impact on the hydrological cycle through rainfall, evapotranspiration, and the land use change resulting from increased temperatures and humidity. The projection of rainfall changes and future temperature become the main parameters needed to calculate changes in the next potential availability of water resources. Information about local or regional impact of climate change is needed to configure the stability of groundwater. Research about groundwater projection in the region of Parepare mainly due to climate change, land use change, and pumping potential is still rare. Typical of the climate characteristics that make challenges in the process projecting climate change in this research. <br />
<br />
From the results of all scenarios, the largest subsidence ofground water projection occurred due to pumping factors which reached 27 meters from the intial groundwater (2014), but climate change scenario shows to scatter changes with advance ground water space although most large value subsidence highest ground water only reached 7 meters of advance ground water condition early in 2014. Influence function land use also showed the most significant change with figures decline reached 14 meters from the initial conditions year 2014. Function of land use that turns and focused around the west coast city of Parepare feared can trigger sea water intrusion. <br />
<br />
Scenario projection of the intrusion the might happen to 2050, regions that experienced sea water intusion is Kecamatan Soreang which stood at of coastal Parepare City. The influence of the sea water intrusion on the Northwest area are 1325 meters along the coast. Regions that have the potential to happened ground water intrusion area cause by densely populated rat the residential area. The number of ground water pumping should be reduced so that the ground water quality can be undisturbed. |
