Description
Summary:Lapangan Kayla, which is located at Donggi Sub-basin, Tomori Basin, Central Sulawesi, is the main object of this research. The background of this research is the

hydrocarbon potential that is indicated by the field data such as core, side wall core (SWC), thin section, and well log. Mentawa Member of Minahaki Formation, or

known as miocene carbonate, is the main focus of this research due to its potential. The objectives of this research are to know the gological condition of Kayla

Field, the subsurface architecture and the total reserves prediction in order to have the most appropriate geometrical model and property distribution of reservoir for a further development geology phases. The data that has been used in this research are

3d seismic, well log (SP, GR, LLD, NPHI, RHOB) and supported by some reports of core analysis, SWC, biostratigraphy and thin section. Sequence stratigraphy,

electrofacies, seismic interpretation and geostatistic are the vital methods in this research. Sequence stratigraphy analysis through lithofacies, facies association and electrofacies approaches based on the core, SWC, biostratigraphy and thin section reports show that the reservoir interval consists of organic build up facies (platform interior and reef margin), fore slope facies and open sea shelf facies. Based on the result of petrophysics and lateral distribution of both of the facies association and net to gross, the best reservoir quality is the organic buld up facies and fore slope facies comes in the second. The result of the static reservoir modeling, which consists of seismic interpretation, sequential indicator simulation, sequential gaussian simulation and volumetric calculation, has given the number of 247668.7 mmscfd as the total of recoverable gas. All of these results could be used to have a further and more thorough development geology analysis in Kayla Field.
