Part of the structure of Hotel Pantai Gapura Makassar occupies in space of land and water body of Losari coastal area. In the case of marine cadastre that has not been regulated yet in Indonesia, the existing of Hotel Pantai Gapura building in water body of Losari need to be examined more. This final project aims to assess the institutional aspects through its duties and functions concerned to the marine cadastral object in case of Hotel Pantai Gapura Makassar in order to identify the institutions that can be recommended to carry out government duties in the field of marine cadastre. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Methods are literature-based through inventory and identification of Indonesian Law about institutional duties and functions relevant to the marine cadastral objects with the type of empirical normative legal research and analytical descriptive. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The correlation between institutional duties and functions associated with marine activity indicates that there are six institutions which have authority in marine cadastre. They are Kementerian Perhubungan, Kementerian Keuangan, Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan, BPN-RI, Kementerian Lingkungan dan Kehutanan, dan Kementerian Pariwisata. However, nowadays there is overlapping authority between institutions related to management system of marine cadastral objects. For instance, it needed a special institution that coordinates the marine activity of marine cadastre concept so as to create an integration system of marine administration. The recommendation for the name of the institution is Badan Kelautan Nasional Republik Indonesia. <br />
