Surveys of shipping channel are conducted to obtain information about stratigraphic condition and depth of shipping channel as the basis for dredging activities that serve to support the safety of shipping. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The results of this thesis are the stratigraphic profile that obtained from overlaying cross section profile of Sub Bottom Profiller data processing and bathymetry map. The calculation of the volume of each layer to be dredged are obtained from overlaying stratigraphic profile with the cross section shipping lanes design and its are calculated using prismoid method. Once we know the type of each layer to be dredged, we can the determine the dredging tool that suitable for use. text
