THE RESTRUCTURING PLANNING STUDY OF THE URBAN VILE SETTLEMENT INFRASTRUCTURE The Case Study of Jalan Timor Territory, Political District of Lorok Pakjo Sub District of Ilir Barat I Kota Palembang

The housing development by poor population individually led to increase of the base dwelling in Palembang city. In order to set back the area into the better condition, government and the population become the most responsible parties for it. <br /> <br /> The study purposes are to looking for an alternative on restructuring of vile settlement infrastructure, road repair, housing and drainage that agree with the city planning, making better, health and along with the public expectation. <br /> <br /> The method used is descriptive, spread some questionnaires in the study area to find out of public expectation and making survey on the location situation, economy aspects, social and technical development that will happen in several design alternative. In this study performed an alternative comparison on the way of previous arrangement has been performed in Palembang city. Moreover, the analysis of advantage and disadvantage factors, risks and prospect carried out by SWOT theory with the highest point of competitive profile as the planning alternative choice. <br /> <br /> The result of study and analysis show that in the competitive profile there is a highest score about 5.190, arrangement by government under P3KT project so on. Previously, in the setting comparison that was performed in Palembang city, highest score of 5.025 achieved by restructuring of vile settlement in political district of 5 Ulu and 7 UIu. By mean of the PRP2K project, restructuring alternative of infrastructure can performed in Jalan Timor of Lorok Pakjo political district of Palembang, which it involves repairing of road and drainage under government control and public housing aid individually by rolling fund involving of BKM.
