Description
Summary:Iron ore exploration long ago is one of the world’s largest industry, iron ore is the main commodity exchanges at the time. Therefore many method of exploration began to grow in today's geophysical sciences. In one effective method is magnetic. which in this research focused on Upau city, South Kalimantan with wide range of observational data for the region include 1000 x 1100 m.

To determine the deposit amount and distribution of iron ore, can be modeled using forward modeling 2-dimensional, but in this study will be conducting 3-Dimensional modeling, because of the irregular data observation and not in straight line, the inversion include topographic data for use to determine the maximum depth of exploration. Using ten grid mesh data will make the inversion result more sufficient for interpreting, including the potential area and the depth, so it can be analyzed to determine the resources below.

Scattered data among the observation field make 2-dimensional modeling hard to tell which part is the potential exploration site.

3-d model showing large amount of result based on the 3- d model the site is alluvial placer and the deposit of iron ore within the area estimated are 13.652.100 ton.
