Therefore, guidance is required for mine planners, technical chiefs, either mine companies in managing their mining activities. In this case, post mining land utilization model is proposed in order to optimize and increase mine closure efficiency. In order to develop of specific model for sand quarries in Padalarang, mine characteristics identification and post mining land use projection should be identified. During post mining land use projection, planning strategies are <br /> <br /> arranged based on strengths, weakness, opportunities, and threats related to post mining development in Padalarang. Afterward, land use projection is identified <br /> <br /> based on comparison of several land use alternatives in order to define the appropriate post mining land uses which have more potential to be developed. Based on the identification of sand quarry characteristics and its land use projection, then specific model can be developed. This specific model contains guidance and recommendations, both technical and non technical aspects regarding preventive actions and treatment of the potential risks to be adjusted to post mining land uses. This specific model then becomes an input to generate a generic model. Generic model is developed as a representative of mining in general. text |
