Summary: | The changes in a mine slope stability of the time, especially related to the value of shear strength, cohesion and friction angle can be observed in conducting research at the Laboratory of creep shear sample size considering the influence of rock samples. The research performed on shear creep sandstone rock samples from one site owned by PT. Adaro, South Kalimantan, which amounted to 2 pieces with a different of shear field surface area which respectively A = 15cm x 15cm and 25cm x 25cm. Research carried out by using normal force and shear force with a certain large and kept constant until the time of the rock sample failure and Empirical approach and Rheology Burger is used to describe the creep behavior. And the more extensive sliding surface of sample (A), then the value of long-term shear strength, cohesion and friction angle is smaller. This is due to the influence of asperity failure and dilatansi aspect is more dominant in the example with smaller A. |
