Summary: | Inversion of geophysical data is done to obtain the distribution of the physical

properties of the subsurface. Results of inversion modeling is regarded as a model

that represents the subsurface geologic conditions. Based on the relationship of

data and model parameters, inversion modelling grouped into linear inversion and

non-linear inversion. In this study, writer do inversion modelling of data

magnetotelluric 1-dimensional which the relationship between the data and model

parameters are connected by non-linear equations. Magnetotelluric is a method of

geophysical exploration that utilizes the electromagnetic naturally waves. Physical

parameters that can be searched by this method are resistivity or conductivity of

medium. Before inversion modelling, forward modeling is done first by providing

model parameter values to get the synthetic data. The synthetic data from forward

modelling used in the inversion modeling. This inversion modeling results can be

compared with the model parameters given in the forward modeling to evaluate the

results of the inversion. This iversion program have used to inversion modelling of

real data magnetotelluric with good result. |
