Summary: | The concept of marine cadastre is a part of cadastral system which has been developed in order to good ocean government. The principal of marine cadastre has aimed to manage a marine spaces and natural resources, with respect to interests, ownership and various rights, restrictions and responsibilities in the marine jurisdiction. However, before the concept of marine cadastre implementation, it was need to defined a line, where the boundary of jurisdiction land cadastre ended and marine cadastre will be commenced, it known as legal coastline. Until now, the definition of legal coastline certainly which refer at a tidal datum has not determined yet. Uncertainty of the legal coastlines definition will create ambiguity of property right in coastal region and the potential for conflict among stakeholders. In this research, the definition and delineation of legal coastline conducted according to legal and technical aspect. Result of this research showed that definition of legal coastline which refer to high water line more suitable than low water line, as depicted from result of case study of the legal coastline delimitation in Pati District. |
