Summary: | Indonesia is one of the biggest countries with population more than 250 million people in 2016 and it is projected increase into more than 300 million people in 2035. The increasing of population will affect to the demand of lectricity consumption which have to be fulfilled by Indonesia Government. In 2015, the electrification ratio in Indonesia is only 88.30% with power plant installed capacity is 54,488 MW and it is targeted to reach 97.35% in 019.One of plan in Indonesia infrastructure is to build 35,000 MW power plants in order to fulfill electrification ratio in 2019. Currently, in rural area of Indonesia only have 32% electrification ratio, indicating that the basic needs of the people are not being met. The program to construct 35,000 MW of capacity will require a huge investment amounting to more than IDR 1,100 trillion (USD 87 billion) funds. In order to make infrastructure projects succeed, a strategic plan was needed from various related stakeholders, including overnment, PLN, and private companies which engaged in power generation plant. Due to future uncertainties are really high for that prestigious project, scenario planning is needed to prevent unfavorable condition, especially for PT Positive Energy. <br />

Those three major problems are the readiness of Human Resources is not sufficient, there is a Covenant Global Bond, and the ages of several power plants are more than 20 years. Furthermore, there are four scenarios which is optimist scenario with title ‘Fast & Furious’, realist scenario with title ‘The ccountant’, pessimist scenario with title ‘The Hunger Games’, and not-likely scenario with title ‘Die Hard’. Those scenarios are having different condition with three critical uncertainties which is government regulation, enthusiast of investor and lenders, and security of supply primary energy. |
