Turbidity measurement with this instrument utilizes a laser as a light source that is passed to the sample and a photodiode is usec to capture light transmission. This instrument uses a Lock-In Amplifier for reading signal buried in noise or external light interference. This instrument was calibrated by formazin polymer suspension with a range 1-9 NTU, 10-100 NTU, and 500-4000 NTU. This instrumen was tested by measuring the standard of 3000 NTU and obtained a relative error about 13,42 % on a red laser and 14,81% for the green laser. In this study also examines the scattering of light by formazin polymer suspension at an angle 90o. This instrument can be further developed for the study of particles in the water. text
