This area lies in the province of Central Java and has traces of the collision process between plates that occurred since about 117 million years ago can be found in the form of outcrops of various types of rock with the appearance of morphology. Various types of igneous rocks such as pridotite, gabbro, basalt, dacite, diabas and andesite are present in this area. Scaly clay, sandstone, volcanic breccias, quartz conglomerate and numiulite limestone are also found here. This study utilizes magnetic method to identify subsurface layers. Data processing is done by applying IGRF correction and correction of daily variations to obtain total magnetic field anomalies. Surfer software is used to perform the mapping of magnetic data that has been processed. From the results of magnetic data analysis, we can obtain magnetic value (ΔT) which is within the range of -2200 nT up to 1600 nT. The mapping results indicate that there are magnetic anomalies in the mapped Karangsambung area. Based on the results of the study, we can see that magnetic anomalies tend to occur in areas with high elevation levels. Based on the results of the research, it can be seen that the magnetic anomaly associates in the existing area of rock intrusion, which is the Parang Mountain. There is a diabase intrusion located on the slope of Parang Mountain, which indicates there are materials containing magnetic properties causing anomaly on that area. <br /> text |
